Orana Park

We had a fabulous visit to Orana Wildlife Park and looked at lots of different groups of animals. Ask us what we know about mammals, fish, birds, amphibians, insects and reptiles!

We had fun on the bus ride!

The keas were very cheeky! One even opened the door that was locked!

Maggie knew that they were native to NZ

The zoo teacher taught us lots of things about animal groups.

A kiwi egg is very, very big!
The lions were trying to have a sleep.

The Tasmanian Devil has got very sharp teeth!

Huhu grubs ate this dead tree.

The gibbons were singing a love song to each other. They were very loud!

 Water buffalo
 Check out our fish faces!

 We fed the rainbow trout.

We got to feed the giraffes!

 Cute meercats!

 Lemmas

 A big turkey!

It was nice and warm in the reptile house!

 Emus are flightless birds.

The black swan tried to eat all the fish food!

Thank you Orana Park for a fantastic day! I'm sure the children will sleep well tonight :)
